Role and Responsibilities

Aqua-Coast Engineering, a Building Science Engineering Firm, is looking for an energetic Accounting & Human Resources Assistant to join our team. Currently with 20+ employees, our company is growing rapidly. Candidates must be self-motivated and enjoy working in and contributing to a friendly, supportive work environment. This position is full time and predominately in office, however Aqua-Coast supports a hybrid work arrangement and some remote work with this position is possible.

Main Responsibilities include:



- Assist the accounting department with various tasks including:

- accounts payable/receivable

- payroll

- deposits

- other miscellaneous accounting tasks and projects



- Maintain HR documentation and company Org Chart

- Assist in administering company benefits programs

- Assist with the recruiting process (screening candidates, postings jobs, coordinating interviews)

- Coordinating staff events and functions (Christmas party, Summer event, etc…)

- Assisting with travel arrangements



Secondary Responsibilities include:



- Backup for General Reception when they are away (administering phones/doors/visitor forms/incoming courier & mail)



Skills and Qualifications:



- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Fluent in English

- Self-motivated with a strong team work ethic

- Some Accounting/HR experience is preferred

- Excellent customer service, inter-personal and organizational skills

- Proficient computer skill with high attention to details



- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)



- Ability to learn new software



Job Types: Full-time, Permanent



Salary: From $1.00 per year
