Assisting a team of 3 solicitors,

you will ideally come with the skills and knowledge of a Corporate, Securities, and or Real Estate practice.


- Perform conflict searches, open files, complete client identification/verification and prepare retain letters

- Prepare, edit and format various correspondence and documents; able to work from precedents

- Prepare trust deposits, trust cheque requests, trust transfers, investment deposits and redemptions, generate monthly WIP and AR reports and prepare invoices

- Maintain bring forward system to ensure follow up and receipt of requested materials/documents

- Calendar management including scheduling telephone, video conference and in-person meetings, booking boardrooms and setting up virtual meetings

- Liaise with internal team members (Lawyers, LAA's, Paralegals and administrative departments) on various matters

- Perform other related duties as required


As a suitable candidate for this role, you will have the following competencies:

- 3+ years experience in a Corporate Commercial and/or Real Estate practice  

- Mandarin speaking a must, written ability as well is a definite plus!  

- Completion of a legal assistant or paralegal program an asset

- Ability to work both independently as well as in a team


- $53,000-60,000 per annum  

- 3 weeks vacation
