Pourquoi ce role est-il important?

The Manager, Learning & Development is responsible for the planning, oversight and execution of learning programs and initiatives that strengthen organizational skills, capabilities, compliance, and performance.

This scope includes the evaluation of organizational and specific learning needs and developing learning solutions that maximize results while providing an engaging learner experience.  In addition to planning, overseeing, and delivering training programs, the key to this position is to continually improve and evolve the instructional quality of all training programs.

What You'll Do

- Oversee the continued success of the company onboarding program for front line staff, including ongoing delivery and execution of the program.

- Provide ad hoc in field training, as required

- Manages all logistics for delivery of training

- Ensure quality checks and flawless execution of all aspects of training delivery

- Manage core learning programs; continuously evaluate the effectiveness and make changes and additions as required

- Test new learning and development programs with key stakeholders before launch to obtain buy-in and ensure programs meet business needs

- Participate in the development of the Learning and Development strategy

- Use appropriate evaluation techniques to determine learning effectiveness, compliance and skill confirmation success rates

- Provide ongoing reporting and insights into the learning effectiveness, compliance and skill confirmation success rates

- Manage and maintain the Learning Management System and evaluate training completion and pass rates, training time vs. efficiency, user adoption, and emerging trends 

- Act as day-to-day liaison with LMS vendor and act as SME for the platform within the organization

- Continuously investigate opportunities to enhance and strengthen training

- Maintain awareness of learning and development trends within and outside the industry, to bring practical and cost effective best practices to the company

- Other projects as required

What You'll Need:

- University degree, preferably in Adult Education, Business, Human Resources or similar

- At least 5 years’ experience in a Learning Facilitator role, with experience managing organization-wide programs

- Experience with banking and/or telecommunications preferred

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)

- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently within a rapidly changing environment

- Strong communications skills and ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams

- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize, balance conflicting tasks and manage internal and external stakeholders

- Demonstrated expertise leveraging innovative learning technologies including social, mobile, micro-learning and gamification

- Strong group facilitation & presentation skills at all levels
