Job Title: Project Coordinator

Location: Greater Toronto Area, ON

Position Reports to:

Director, Project Management

Status: Full-time, Permanent


This is an exciting opportunity to join McDougall Scientific, one of the premier niche CROs in the industry and be part of a dynamic and analytical team that works closely together to deliver deep industry knowledge and quality results for its clients. The Project Coordinator's primary role is to provide support to project teams by developing and maintaining project plans, project timelines, project status reports, tracking scope changes, and facilitating communication with internal and external team members. The Project Coordinator works under the guidance of the Director, Project Management to ensure project management deliverables are in compliance with McDougall policies and procedures and with project executives in order to ensure completion of project deliverables that meet the requirements as contracted by Sponsors.


- Complete, maintain, and monitor standard project documents such as project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures using the corporate project management system

- Identify, raise, and escalate project scope changes and issues: track actions to resolution

- Assess project risks and issues and suggest solutions

- Prepare project status reports to the delivery team and clients

- Organize, attend, and contribute in project team meetings

- Write meeting summaries or minutes with action items

- Document and follow-up on important actions and decisions from meetings

- Track progress towards project deadlines and escalate possible delays to line and project management so action can be taken in a timely manner

- Execute project change management

- Prepare presentation materials for meetings

- Support the delivery team’s use of the corporate project management system

- Execute responsibilities according to corporate Standard Operating Procedures

- Provide administrative support as needed


- Applicants should have a minimum of a college diploma/undergraduate degree (preferably focused in health sciences, life sciences).

- Experience in Clinical Research, Clinical Data Management, and/or Project Coordination/Management preferred. PMP designation (or currently working towards) is an asset.

- Strong organization and time management skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to accurately communicate project issues to management, clients, as well as internal team members.

- Ability to prioritize project requirements and deliverables, and coordinate the activities within the department and the company.
