Responsibilities:



· Respond to phone, email, and online inquiries



· Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents



· Schedule and confirm appointments and follow-up with clients



· Draft emails and communication to clients and prospective clients



· Collect information and documentation from prospective clients and applicants



· Keep records and organize information in a detailed format and according to office procedures



· Learning basic immigration processing categories and requirements for each category



· Research immigration programs and create brochures and other collateral



· Perform basic screening of clients to ensure eligibility for immigration programs





· Assist with immigration applications and preparations



· Drafting application packages for review and making revisions to reviewed drafts



· Assisting in compiling and seeing that applications are filed in a timely manner



· Participate actively in meetings, take meeting minutes/notes, and draft appropriate follow-up communication afterwards



· Assist in continuous improvement of file management and administrative office procedures



Requirements and Qualifications:



· Willingness to research and learn about Canadian immigration programs, policies, and practices



· Post secondary education in a related field. Equivalencies in volunteer or other experience may be considered



· Has demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity and the ability to work with and communicate with diverse populations



· Experience living, working or studying abroad is beneficial



· Excellent verbal and written English skills are required



· Knowledge of another language(s) is an asset



· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications and Adobe software



· Ability to conduct research and review industry best practices



· Strong problem solving and analytical skills



· Motivated, creative, and willing to take initiative
