Position Overview

Number of Positions: 1

Language: Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.

Additional Information:

This is an 18 month temporary/contract position.

The work location for this role is flexible to Ontario.

As the Web Publisher you will provide expertise in building, editing, publishing and distributing bilingual communications on a variety of content management systems. You will manage the performance of the corporate intranet and educate business partners on user experience, web maintenance and communication best practices.

What you’re responsible for:

Determining technical requirements for intranet websites and building,

launching and supporting the implementation of corresponding solutions.

Consulting with business partners and the team to obtain clear requirements for posting of bilingual corporate news, adhering to publishing workflows and procedures and reviewing content in accordance with editorial news guidelines.

Formatting images, charts, hyperlinks and other data using application software to produce well-designed, publication-ready content.

Supporting the prioritization of business requirements for the intranet, including triaging requests, liaising with Information Technology (IT), and identifying technical solutions to meet business needs.

Providing training and support to our business partners to independently maintain their own subsites, sharing best practices and web standards to maintain a positive user experience.

To join our team:

You have 1-3 years of experience in corporate communications, web maintenance and production.

You have a post-secondary diploma in Communications, Web/Digital or a related discipline.

You have in-depth knowledge of communication best practices and highly developed computer software and application skills.

Having a certification or designation in communications, such as the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) is an asset.

Having a Lean certification is an asset.
