Our Health and Safety team is expanding, and we are looking for an experienced, accomplished and a self-motivated Safety & Compliance Coordinator. You will work directly with operational leadership to provide support and guidance to our oil sands teams, while making significant contributions to the department and to Canadian Natural.
Be a champion of safety within Canadian Natural while promoting and ensuring consistency of hygiene, safety systems and our radiation program
Review incident reports,
conduct investigations, inspect facilities and take part in Worksite Safety Observations (WSO’s) of service providers, consultants and operations
Attend area safety meetings, pre-job safety meetings and conduct periodic inspections to promote a safe working environment in all field areas
Liaise with government bodies on Canadian Natural’s safety related issues, conduct risk and hazard assessments required by legislation and work with management and field personal to implement new government regulations
Job location: Horizon Oil Sands site - Fort McMurray, Alberta
Eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Relocation Regular Policy

Shift schedule: 8 x 6 (Tuesday to Wednesday – 10 hours/day)
Skills & Qualifications:
10 years of Oil & Gas operations or mining experience with a minimum of 5 years safety related responsibilities
High school diploma or equivalent
Safety related courses or certifications
