Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

As the Learning & Design Consultant you will be accountable for assessing and analyzing the knowledge and skill gaps as well as performance improvement opportunities for the largely diverse audience of Commercial Banking within the Business Contact Centre.

You will be responsible to design, develop, facilitate and evaluate technical training and performance improvement solutions in support of the Business Contact Centre’s business priorities. You will also work closely with Management teams, business subject matter experts (SMEs), from across the organization and project team members to ensure that deliverables meet all defined standards of quality and effectiveness and provide continuity throughout the end-to-end process. You will be responsible for defining, extending, and coding the architecture of front-end client-side solutions to support sites such as CIBC.com, and internal BCC Sharepoint site.

How You'll Succeed

- Training Plans & Recommendations - Execute Training Needs Assessments on BCC Intakes to provide suitable learning recommendations to accommodate the learning needs across all BCC sites & business segments. Consult with the Learning and Design Specialist in order to create suitable training plans, participate in ongoing project meetings, and create training collateral. Identify appropriate training tools and methodologies (e.g. web based, multimedia, workshop, knowledge objects, paper-based solutions, blended solutions) to deliver an optimal leaning solution based on the target audience.

- Design & Implementation - Design written processes to support various deliveries of new materials. Use development tools to design layouts, develop templates, create job aids, build training activities and write/maintain content to ensure training solutions are kept current. Write and/or update BCC procedures as required. Participate in post implementation reviews to understand and communicate wins and/or impacts.

- Facilitation - Facilitate training delivery of various lengths and complexities; including new-hire orientation, various systems training, enhancement of existing products and services, procedural reviews and updates and desktop technology.

Who You Are

- You can demonstrate previous experience with Learning, Design and Facilitation.

- A degree/diploma in Adult Education would be preferred or you’ve gained enough experience to demonstrate a working knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional techniques.

- You can demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet and Intranet tools as well as knowledge of Articulate Rise 360.

- You understand that success is in the details. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.

- You have developed strong planning and organizational skills under deadline-oriented conditions.
