The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:







- Proof of successful completion of an approved Activation or Social Service Worker/Gerontology Diploma or Degree program

- Training and experience in cognitive support programming

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in one-one and group program planning, implementation and evaluation for residents living with cognitively impairment

- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills





Successful candidate will:





- Understand the holistic approach to resident care

- Have the special skills and abilities to deliver stellar programming to residents living with cognitive impairment

- Be competent in Resident care planning, assessment, review and documentation

- Express a compassionate and positive attitude

- Work well in both group and independent situations

- Must be able to problem solve, communicate and liaise with all member of the interdisciplinary team

- Demonstrate excellent leadership and organizational skills

- Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

- Successful applicant would have one or more of the following: Fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin, extensive knowledge of cultural holidays and celebrations; Fluency in Hebrew and/or Yiddish, extensive knowledge of religious and cultural holidays and celebrations with particular knowledge of the High Holidays, be confident with Halakha.
