acquisition and divestiture advisory and capital advisory services.

Overview of the opportunity:





KPMG’s Business Development team is focused on assisting our Deal Advisory Leaders to proactively generate incremental growth by developing new relationships, assisting KPMG’s clients pursue high priority industries, and understanding relevant market trends.





As an Associate, Business Development, you’ll be learning from a group of Partners and the Director of Business Development in the one of the largest Deals practices in Canada and growing your personal skillset.





What you will do





- Develop industry knowledge through researching and participating in meetings;

- Identify, research and develop industry coverage materials to pursue potential clients;

- Participate in value-added client facing virtual business development opportunities;

- Maintain databases of potential acquirers in specific industries including financial sponsor and portfolio companies;

- Assist with lead generation for KPMG’s Deal Advisory platform; manage leads, work on special projects and ad-hoc requests.





What you bring to the role





- Passion for establishing and maintaining client relationships,

- 3+ years of proven business development, research experience preferably, in a mergers & acquisition or corporate environment

- Proficiency with external information databases e.g. CapitalIQ, Pitchbook, Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters.

- Confident communication style with a desire to learn, strive for excellence, and a forward thinker,

- A positive attitude and energy to discussions, strong communication and relationship skills
