Calling all commercial property accountants! We are currently seeking a determined and go- getter property accountant to join our established client in downtown Vancouver on a full-time permanent basis. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is looking to handle a complex portfolio of industrial and retail properties.
ABOUT THE CLIENT
Impact Recruitment has partnered with a global real estate investment and asset management company that is known for developing exceptional communities across 15+ countries.
They manage one of the largest assets in BC and are currently looking to add an experienced property accountant to their team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant experience.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the Property accounting manager, the property accountant will be responsible for:
- Prepare monthly financial statements for a portfolio of properties.
- Monthly reporting cycle reconcile balance sheet accounts, GST reconciliations.
- Process leasing and recoveries, budgets and variance analysis.
- Manage and monitor cashflow, monthly tenant reconciliations and AR
- Manage G/L coding, year-end cost adjustments and prepare annual tax invoices.
- Set up new properties in the system and prepare properties for potential sale.
- Prepare year-end working papers.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of commercial property accounting experience.
- Experience working with Yardi is an asset.
- Experience processing CAM reconciliations and rent rolls.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary: $60,000 to $65,000
- 3 weeks vacation
- Extended health and dental
