Reporting to the Executive Chef,

the person in charge will put his/her passion for cooking at the service of the development of new recipes to be added to our current offer. With his/her culinary skills, the Culinary R&D; Assistant will conduct tests in a kitchen environment to document the feasibility of the ideas and help determine the best possible outcome for the meals, as well as write down the sequence of preparation to build a recipe book.



RESPONSIBILITIES



- Conduct tests in the kitchen laboratory to determine the best ingredients, processes, cooking methods, mixes, visual aspect for meals to be produced on a large scale.

• Report all tests results in order to validate the correct quantities of all ingredients for each individual meal to maintain an optimal customer experience, on par with the standards.

• Document the sequence of meals preparation with notes and pictures at every step, while conducting the initial tests, during regular production and during the final packing process.

• Write recipes from A to Z in order to develop a complete recipe book.

• Collaborate when needed with the production and kitchen teams when launching new recipes on the industrial scale.

• Stay updated on the trends and demands of customers in the market in terms of flavor, variety of ingredients or nutritional values to adapt the future recipes.



SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in a kitchen.

• Experience in recipe development.

• Educational background in food science

• Bilingualism French/English, spoken and written.

• Be a foodie and demonstrate a passion for food.

• Ability to efficiently use computers.

• Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time, in an evolving environment.

• Culinary creativity.

• Autonomous and rigorous.

• Sense of initiative and responsibilities.
