Salary Range: $61,596 to $72,466

Job Summary: Ontario Tech University is looking for a highly creative and focused Digital Media Coordinator to execute all aspects of our videography, animation, photography and digital signage systems. In addition to other duties described, the primary focus of the Digital Media Coordinator position will be to be a good storyteller who collaborates with colleagues to brainstorm ideas,

write scripts and storyboards, produce, design and post videos.



Nature of work: This position reports into the Manager, Web and Digital Media in the Communications and Marketing department and is key to communicating the relevance of the university’s dynamic new brand.



Responsibilities/accountabilities:

Planning, filming, editing, animating and delivering videos to engage and support the priorities of our university. Through videos, the Digital Media Coordinator will tell the university’s story.

Planning sessions include working with internal and external partners to attend and oversee brainstorming sessions, sketch storyboards and write scripts for videos and interactive concepts.

Creating custom animation and motion graphics that are on brand and compelling.

Attending events, sometimes outside of regular office hours, to capture video and photo that will be used on our various marketing channels.

Telling the university's story through various types of videos that include, but are not be limited to: interviews, testimonials, events, recruitment, marketing the university, internal communications etc.

Developing assets for the university social media channels in collaboration with the Social Media Coordinator.

Ensuring organization and success of our video channels, including Vimeo and YouTube, as well as our Digital Asset Management system through the upload, organization and tagging of new photos and videos.

Creating, sharing and explaining analytics reports for our online photos and videos through our Vimeo, YouTube and Digital Asset Management system.

Creating, scheduling and posting compelling digital signage on our network of 50+ screens.



Required Skills



Superior organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively and professionally with people at all levels, both inside and outside of the university.

Flexibility to work irregular hours when needed.

Expert knowledge of the Adobe creative suite, including Premiere, After effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

Demonstrable expertise in film making / production.



Education



Completion of formal post secondary program of two academic years or equivalent experience in video, animation, design or related field.





- Verification of Academic credentials may be required

1-3 years related work experience
