LOCATION: Ottawa, Ontario



TERM: Full-Time, 12 Month Contract



Summary Description



Position required to provide emergency road service to CAA/AAA members.



Duties/Responsibilities



Responds to dispatched calls in the metro & rural areas as required and provides CAA/AAA members with appropriate road service.



Duties include:

Operating a Tow Truck

Battery testing & installing new car batteries

Minor automotive repairs & tire changes

Unlocking vehicles

Other duties as required

Tow Truck and/or Flatbed experience required

Wreckmaster certified preferred

High School Diploma or equivalent

Automotive mechanical knowledge necessary

Experience battery testing and replacing car batteries an asset

Ability to work in extreme weather; heavy lifting required

Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to club standards

Fluency in both official languages an asset



Successful applicants will be required to join UNIFOR Local 414
