Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Technical Product Owner, IT Manager, Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) – Integrated Business Plan (Duration Based). This is a project assignment for the duration of the requisite project work required, and it is expected to conclude at approximately 36 months from the official start date, at management's discretion the position could be extended.



The Product Owner will work at the intersection of business & technology to define strategies that combine a deep understanding of business objectives, challenges, with technology solutions and extending them into development execution, value realization & ongoing product management.





There is flexibility on the location where this role will be based, with strong preference to location in New Brunswick, NJ; Markham, Canada; or Beerse, Belgium.

In this role, you will support the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) squad teams in developing the Anaplan models that support the IBP process. The Integrated Business Planning process is a critical enabler of a future state financial planning process that will create connectivity between the supply chain, commercial, and financial sales forecasts, ensuring alignment cross-functionally such that an appropriate demand, supply, and production forecast can be forecasted. Understanding the Integrated Business Planning process and architecture will be critical to the success of this role. This role will also have a Lead Product Analyst reporting into the position, and the development and coaching of these direct reports will be a critical component of this role. Vision & Strategy Definition: shaping a ‘future proof’ finance business vision, strategy & capability roadmaps, and corresponding technology strategy & product roadmaps with significant decision-making latitude



Business Problem Definition: understanding and translating business problems faced by the finance function into a value case & comprehensive set of solutions spanning process, technology, data, governance & user experience supported by defined, baselined value realization key performance indicators

External Insights: understand external insights, trends, leading practices in the FP&A;, advanced analytics / machine learning / artificial intelligence space

Solution Design: ensuring that product development efforts incorporate an approach that starts with experimentation to validate expected impact, includes human centered design, embraces agile principles, incorporates external insights, required end to end process optimizations, and compliance engagement

Value Realization: defining expected value impact of investments across employee experience, functional excellence, efficiency, and compliance

Architecture: partnering with the finance architecture team to define the role each system plays within our landscape aligned with business capabilities

Internal Partnerships: acting as the primary trusted advisor to senior finance & technology leaders across all lifecycles of EPM product development starting with inception through to value realization & ongoing continuous improvement, and communication of progress against strategic objectives

Product Management: partnering with product management teams to ensure roadmaps are oriented to deliver finance business & technology strategy, value creation objectives, and measurable key performance indicators

External Partnerships: managing vendor relationships to influence development roadmaps & ensure that our needs will be met by our technology partners



We believe that experience developing insight led strategy, crafting innovative technology solutions, experimentation, agile ways of working, intellectual curiosity, empathy, leading teams, and human centered design are essential to enable you to be successful in this role. Furthermore, it is essential that you are a natural collaborator, who has the leadership presence to influence results and build a strong sense of collective team engagement. We desire a candidate who has experience structuring & facilitating large workshops with senior stakeholders. In addition to these core skills, we would expect you to have the following technical expertise:



Financial Planning & Analysis

Advanced analytics

Artificial intelligence / machine learning

Human centered design

People management experience



Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Product Owner - EPM you would partner closely with global process owners, senior finance personnel, and financial systems leads to maximize the transformational potential of technology investments.



Qualifications



A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. Preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related field.

A minimum of 5 years of professional business experience and IT experience/leadership is required, with 3+ years of people management experience preferred.

Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; effective manager of people and strong team-building skills is required.

Background and prior work experience in supply chain processes and/or applications, preferably supply chain planning is required.

Experience working with external partners to bring products/services to market strongly desired.

Experience with all aspects of the product development lifecycle as well as Agile methodology is preferred.

Must be able to motivate and inspire people and make tough decisions when necessary in a timely manner.

Prior work experience in developing tools that support the financial planning and budgeting process, such as TM1, Hyperion, and/or Anaplan is required.

Knowledge of Anaplan is preferred.

Preferred: Master’s Degree with focus on Computer Science or Computer Engineering; MBA.
