We are seeking a Self-Motivated Business Development Specialist to join our team! You will resolve customer questions and offer solutions to drive company revenue.



Castolin Eutectic’s Business Development Specialist develops and manages sales activities within a specific Mining and Oil Sands customer base to achieve sales growth targets,

build strong customer relationships, and establish EUTECTIC’s as a “value added” leader in the market place. Supports Castolin Eutectic surface protection technologies and solutions



The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years’ previous work experience in sales, management, key account management, or relevant experience, as well as a mechanical aptitude, a basic understanding of surface protection systems, thermal spray coatings, wear management knowledge and/or strong technical skills in maintenance and repair



Responsibilities

Focusing on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business, in the particular industry segments

Participate with sales management in developing strategies to penetrate assigned accounts, initiating new business, and growing existing business through team selling efforts; work with technical specialists, order acquisition, order fulfillment, distribution processes, and service groups to define, develop, and implement process improvements, new products and market/sales campaigns and strategies

Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements of the defined industry segments

Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions to meet their objectives with a proactive mindset

Develop value-based relationships with a portfolio of major mining clients and—or contractors to ensure they do not turn to competition

Strategic planning and implementation to improve clients bottom line using consultative selling techniques

Develop, service, and grow relationships with strategic channel partner

Ensure seamless customer service from start to finish

High level of conflict resolution and negotiation to maintain multi-stakeholder engagement

Proactively gather, analyze and report market intelligence to upper management to develop solutions aligned with end-user needs

Serve as a communication hub between key stakeholders

Self-motivated and self-directed

Excellent interpersonal relationship skills

Adequate understanding of company key clients and their position in the industry

Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories

Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business administration, sales, or relevant field is preferred

Three to five years’ previous work experience in sales, management, key account management in Mining Industry, or relevant experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person

Strong negotiation skills, with ability follow-through on client contracts

Solid computer skills, and experience with CRM software

50% travel within assigned territory

Advantages

Potential to make $70,000 to $90,000 USD annually

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Active mine sites, maintenance/fabrication shops, processing plants (safety awareness is a key element); requires ability to wear all necessary PPE gear when needed; requires some lifting (up to 50 lbs.), ability to climb stairs
