Vitacore Industries, https://vitacore.ca/, manufactures personal protective equipment for Canadian frontline workers. We are proud to be the first and only Canadian Company to be approved by Health Canada to produce the CAN95 medical grade respirators, which has tested at a higher filtration rate than the NIOSH standard currently in place.
We are growing and hiring 2 Production Team Leaders to oversee, guide and train machine operators. Our South Burnaby plant is located near Marine Way and has ample parking available.
The role is a regular full-time position for the below 2 shifts. These shifts are permanent, not rotating. In your application, please indicate which shift you prefer:
1. Night shift: Monday through Thursday,
6:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.; includes a 30-minute paid break.
2. Weekend shift: Friday through Sunday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; includes a 30-minute paid break, 34.5 hours work, paid for 40.
Employees will train on the day shift for 1 to 2 weeks.
Full benefits after successful completion of a 3-month probation period.
Supervise and direct activities on the production floor to deliver quality product on-time.
Organize and develop the manufacturing processes and other essential operational tasks.
Assist in the creation and implementation of standard work processes.
Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed.
Coach and develop team members.
Develop and report on production metrics.
Participate in hands on production and other activities as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
Certification or diploma in a technical area is an asset.
5+ years' experience in production, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Able to deal with individual and team behaviors and motivate others.
Familiar with the principles of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Proficient in using production problem solving techniques.
Level 1 first aid would be an asset.
