Windsor Wolves Creations is looking for a Carpenter Lead Hand.

Proficiency with english language
Red Seal Carpenter or Equivalent (Minimum 4 years of concentrated carpentry work, especially relating to wood frame related carpentry)
Full array of hand and power tools
Licence and Vehicle
Currently residing in Metro Vancouver Area
Openness and respect towards peoples of all races, ages, sexes, sexual orientations, religions, etc
Leadership experience, especially previous site lead, lead hand, foreman, project manager related
The following is a trimmed version of the Employee Agreement for the Lead Hand position:

Deliverables and Accountabilities:
The Lead Hand is a key part of the fulfillment of the promises we make to our customers. The company’s brand and customer experience rely on the proper execution of the responsibilities of this role. The areas of accountability are as follows:
40 hours produced on budget and on schedule per week.
Aid in the maintenance of an average 9/10 quality score through assisting with the customer’s experience and ensuring they are exceptionally satisfied.
Daily updates to all required administrative tracking systems.

Report directly to the Project Manager.
Attend all meetings on time with preparation completed.
All Lead Hands are paid biweekly.
Hours of Work & Overtime.
Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. It is expected that you arrive on site 10 minutes prior to the crew’s scheduled arrival each day. Full time is assumed but not guaranteed. Occasionally over time and Saturdays may be required.
Vacation pay will be paid out on each paycheque.
Employee benefits are covered by Windsor Wolves Creations LTD.
Performance and Wage Review.
Performance reviews will take place on a quarterly basis. Raises are performance and experience-based and are not guaranteed.
A 6-month probationary period will be in effect from the start of employment.
Lead Hands are paid the current provincial rate for the use of their personal vehicle when necessary for business use.
Job Site Presence:
All employees are expected to wear Windsor Wolves Creations LTD T-Shirt and Hoody (rain shells will be coming in the future). Work boots (steel toe, shank, and heel) are always required.
Lead Hands must always adhere to Work Safe BC practices and be First Aid Level 1, or higher, Certified.
Respect for Environment:
All employees must refrain from the use of inappropriate language on and around Windsor Wolves Creations LTD job sites and while wearing Windsor Wolves Creations LTD attire in the community. Any music played on a Windsor Wolves Creations LTD job site must contain appropriate language. Respect is one of our primary values, please be cognizant of your words and actions. There will be no tolerance for any bigotry, racism, or hate speech of any kind.
It is expected that all Lead Hands have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
Tools & Trailer:
All major tools will be provided by Windsor Wolves Creations LTD and are expected to be used and taken care of as if they were your own. They must be kept clean, organized, and in safe working condition always through daily maintenance.
It is expected that you bring your own hand and power tools.
Windsor Wolves Creations LTD will assist in the repair of any personal tools damaged up to 50% of the mandatory repairs required, up to a maximum of $500 per year.
Lead Hands are expected to be on the job site 10 minutes prior to the start of the workday.
Attendance to all staff meetings and training sessions is mandatory.
Grounds for Termination:
Certain circumstances may lead to immediate termination. Such actions may include but are not limited to:
fighting (with other employees, subcontractors, customers, or suppliers).
discrimination (we are evolving past the toxic cultures of trades).
being intoxicated (including but not limited to alcohol, marijuana and other drugs).
stealing from the company, its employees, subcontractors, customers, or suppliers.
revocation of a driver’s license which prevents you from being able to fulfill your duties and obligations.
reckless use of employee equipment.
endangering yourself or others by way of un-safely going about completing tasks.
