Are you experienced in electronics, trouble shooting,

manufacturing and/or disassembling electronic equipment? Then we have a position that may be perfect for you! AGLC is actively recruiting for a Technical Operations Technician for our St. Albert warehouse.

The Technical Operations Technician is primarily responsible for the preparation, assembly and testing of slot machines, VLTs and all related equipment installed throughout Alberta. This includes the disassembly, parts salvage and disposal of all electronic equipment removed from AGLC networks. Attention to detail is imperative to the role to ensure the quality and integrity of each gaming device meets AGLC standards, including accurate documentation being submitted. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment that involves repetitive tasks, handling of heavy loads (with the use of equipment) and can be physically demanding

To be successful in this role you must have superior attention to detail and the ability to perform all functions with a high level of accuracy and integrity. You also need to have strong verbal and written communications skills in order to explain technical information to non-technical audiences. The ability to work with others and diagnostic troubleshooting is also required.


Diploma in Electronics, Certified Engineering Technologist or Telecommunications from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Minimum one year of related employment experience is desirable.

Strong attention to detail and absolute accuracy is necessary in everyday duties.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and move or shift weights ranging from 50 to 300 pounds (with the use of equipment) on a regular basis.
