Overview / Responsibilities:

Wood is seeking a Site Services Coordinator for our Mining & Minerals construction project near Gogama, Ontario. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and effective completion coordination and management of the additional camp scope delivery and will transition to management of site indirect scopes within the project. Preference will be given to candidates local to the Gogama, ON area.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a team of multi-disciplined contractors performing a variety of indirect functions on an industrial project site. Including but not limited to: Road maintenance, camp support, hauling contracts, janitorial,

personnel transportation, etc.

Monitoring the performance of the contractors by insuring compliance with their contract responsibilities – specifically, HSSE, Cost, Schedule, and Quality

Developing team relationships to ensure smooth interaction between parties responsible for work identification, planning & scheduling, resource provision, and execution of work

Controlling nonconforming products, services and their subsequent repair, and re-work until corrective actions have been implemented

Ensuring compliance with established safety and environmental programs to execute services with zero harm to people, environment, and plant

Monitoring contractor safety performance and implementing steps to rectify any trends of deficiencies in performance of the program

Pro-actively participating in the overall safety and environmental programs to drive continuous improvement

Ensuring safety reporting, incidents, and near misses are reported both in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with the standard procedure

Maintaining a thorough and comprehensive record of actions and events. Documenting and/or obtaining necessary detail to provide a clear understanding of particular occurrences and conditions

All other duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in management of indirect support contracts of major industrial projects

Experience with camp development and management of catering contractors.

Management experience with Site Services scopes including, but not limited to: Road maintenance, camp support, hauling contracts, janitorial, personnel transportation, etc.

Possess a relevant degree or technical diploma or a combination of equivalent in training and combined experience

Experience in Mining Industry is required.

Excellent communication and personnel management skills; ability to liaise at all levels with the client

Proven track record of successful project completion on time and on budget

Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
