The succesful candidate may reside anywhere in Western Canada but must be willing to travel to different client sites.


With a keen eye for safety, quality, schedule and cost; this role defines the objectives for the Turnaround project.


Be a role model of the ClearStream safety culture to field supervision; fostering a zero incident safety culture as a natural part of all work performed.

Monitor TA activities, ensuring compliance to all stakeholders’ safety and policy and procedure guidelines.


Provide leadership and guidance to the turnaround team during planning, execution and closure phases.

Facilitate development and achievement of the turnaroudn goals and objectives.


Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve goals.

Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Direct and manage TA development from beginning to end.

Define TA scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management.


Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.

Lead/assist in negotiation of claims/disputes with the owner and sub trades.

Ensuring that all invoicing, accounting and payroll reporting and monitoring systems are in place and adhered to, enabling the accurate daily progress reporting and budget / estimate status


Journeyman ticket in a mechanical trade and/or related experience.

Other education which may include business management, project management or other related technical specialties is an asset.


10+ year’s maintenance/ Turnaround/Shutdown experience in a supervisory role.

5+ years’ experience working with operating facilities in a building trades environment

Solid experience in working with journeyman trades.

Experience managing a team in a collaborative environment is essential.

Technical expertise in the mechanical/piping sector including shutdown/turnaround execution, long term maintenance programs, operations coordination, equipment management, cost estimating and bid development.

Experience and ability to read and interpret Request for Proposals including technical mechanical/piping drawings and utilize MS office software and estimating, scheduling and/or project management programs.
