The Base Area Ops Department is looking for a motivated individual to join our team, and help us maintain the plazas and facilities at the base of the mountains.
This job impacts and strives to make a great first impression on our guests as they arrive to our mountains. The Base Area Attendants take care of the base areas; including but not limited to, maintaining grounds cleanliness, cleaning, minor maintenance, and help where needed.

Maintaining building cleanliness, washroom cleaning, facility cleaning, garbage and recycling bins and removing heavy bags to our collection facilities.
Sweeping and litter control of outdoor areas.
Able to use and operate power brooms, pressure washers, backpack vacuums, snow blower and other cleaning equipment.
Cleaning and maintaining parking lots and base area zones.
Cleaning and maintaining all trash/recycling receptacles throughout the base areas.
Adherence to all safety and operational policies & procedures. Ensuring the safe use and operation of equipment and supplies.
Ensuring all areas of access are locked and armed after use. And reporting any areas or issues that are suspicious or not up to standard.
To maintain the highest levels of security and to report all incidents regarding theft, equipment abuse, and disregard for any Whistler Blackcomb policies and property.
Responsible for all equipment (including cleaning of equipment) and supplies. Ensure that closets are clean, neat, and stocked.
We are a company that works together and throughout the season you may be required to assist other departments as needed.

Cleaning experience is not required as training is provided but would be an asset.
Knowledge of Whistler Blackcomb resort an asset but not required
Demonstrate a high attention to detail.
Able to work in all weather conditions and in varying terrain.
Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
Strong initiative, problem solving, and open communication skills an asset.
Able to work 4x10 hour days (approx. 5pm-3:30am).
Proof of clear criminal record check.
