EmersonCanada has an opening for an Associate, Growth & Commercial Development. Thisis an intrapreneurial role where you will be responsible for working withcolleagues domestically and abroad to lead and support a variety of programsthat drive new sales.

This isa highly ambiguous role, which will require exceptional degrees of comfort in risk-taking/learning from failure, and the ability to ‘create something from nothing’. Thisis primarily a business-oriented role which may require you to learn technicalskills as you go.

Successfulcandidates will be able to navigate a vast network of internal and externalstakeholders to support revenue generating activities,

devise commercialstrategies to effectively compete in a data-driven world, and work through aseries of challenging high-risk innovation projects.

Who You Are:

- Commercializeand scale-up existing roster of revenue generating innovations: spanning newproducts, services, and business models

- Partner with businessunits to identify, validate, and execute customer-led growth opportunities thatcreate short, medium, and long-term value for the organization and ourcustomers (this includes but is not limited to developing new markets,architecting new business models, and leveraging new technologies to enhancecustomer solutions)

- Lead customer-innovationprograms from conception to cash by engaging with end users, facilitatingdiscovery sessions, synthesizing feedback and using a series of “build/ borrow/partner/ buy” mechanisms to create solutions that address their needs


- Understand andsynthesize market trends, voice of customer, and changes in the ecosystem witha view to developing new products, solutions, services and business models

- Support thecontinual evolution of Emerson’s commercial strategy (customer segments, saleschannels, product lines, etc.) and develop new capabilities and internalstructures

- Support theimplementation and cultural adoption of innovations, innovation processes, andoutcomes within the organization

Summaryof Key Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, or a Science,Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) field

- 3+ Years of progressive experience in anentrepreneurial corporate or start-up environment

- The incumbent will be required to communicate with,and deliver executive-level presentations; a sense of strong leadership,communication and presentation skills is required

- A strong comfort level in customer and partnerengagement is required

- This project-based role will require a proactive,results-oriented, and motivated self-starter, who can think strategically andact tactically to take on challenging assignments

- Experience leading or working directly on large scaleprograms an asset

- Professional proficiency in MS Office suite of tools

- Valid G Class License and access to a reliable vehicleto travel between satellite locations


Thisposition will be based from Emerson Office in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Thecandidate must be eligible to work in Canada and travel to the United States.There is approximately 20% local travel expected within Ontario. Occasionaltravel to job sites is required, personal protective equipment will beprovided.
