About this Team

Distech Controls is looking for a Marketing Solutions Manager , who can distill, to our various target audiences around the world, the features and benefits of our solutions. This individual will actively participate in the demand generation (marketing/communications) team by expressing our message and story through print and electronic materials. We require both big picture thinking and attention to detail: this individual must posses the professionalism to effectively be embedded with the business unit leadership and understands their priorities and objectives for success. You possess a flair for writing, a keen understanding of successful marketing and communication strategies and are looking for a challenging, multifaceted role in which you’ll be called upon to be both a leader and a doer. Someone with a strong work ethic, who is accomplished in the fundamentals and is looking for a role to make a meaningful contribution!

How you will contribute:

• Manage all marketing materials pertaining to end-customer campaigns globally 

• Serve as the subject matter expert with cross-functional business partners. Will have responsibility for learning and communicating industry relevant information. Will be able to add value to the organization by identifying and leading process improvement opportunities. 

• Work with product management/sales to identify key customer targets and develops appropriate marketing materials and product/services messaging. 

• Plan and execute tasks and projects from concept to execution including but not limited to, sales collateral, presentations, packaging, videos, PR, advertising, direct mail, sample bags, web pages, digital marketing, and social media, tradeshows and promotions. Manage all timetables, vendors, internal resources, deadlines and budgets 

• Collaborate with global matrix partners to deliver collateral on schedule: manage/update projects using project management platform

• Lead creation and communication of case study and project references highlighting Distech Controls wins around the world

• Maintain dynamic content for social media, clearly highlighting positioning and messaging

• Plan and place effective advertising materials by leveraging strategic publications, social media and online advertising opportunities. Update global team on actions, results and upcoming strategies.

• Create/review newsletter content: develop quarterly newsletters for end users, and confirm accuracy of solutions-focused messaging in channel partner editions

• Literature review/planning: Write content for brochures and other promotional tools. Create design brief and manage deliverables with matrix partners and outsourced design firms

Reporting and Management

• Track related budget lines, report out figures and play proactive role in ongoing improvements 

• Track related key performance indicators (KPIs), report out findings and play proactive role in ongoing improvements 

Qualified Applicants will have:

Qualifications – Required

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or other equivalent

• 7+ years of experience in similar position

• Experience preparing and sending subscription email communications via marketing automation software (e.g. Pardot)

• Experience developing and placing advertisements

• Experience laying out image-driven documents, bulletins, PowerPoints, etc (using Adobe Creative Suite)

• Experience with project management software (e.g. Workfront) an asset

• Experience developing videos (content planning, script development) an asset

• Experience in a company that manufactures and markets technically complex products an asset

• Proficient in English and French communication skills (written and spoken)

Candidate must have demonstrated:

• Communication skills: listening, writing and speaking

• Experience in developing and executing effective communications

• Exceptional eye for detail, editorial judgment and grammatical skills

• Planning and organizing skills

• Research and analytical skills, to create compelling, quality driven messaging

• Interpersonal skills and be able to collaborate with multiple internal and external persons; be a strong team player

• Self-starter, quick learner and winning attitude

• Energetic and driven with a strong sense of urgency

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams based both locally and internationally
