Our client, a highly successful North American Real Estate private equity firm looking to grow their equity capital raising function, is seeking an Associate to join their Investments and Finance group. Working with senior leadership, the Associate will be involved in delivering best-in-class investor relations for the firm’s existing investors, building awareness and support for the Company’s brand, and attracting new capital to the organization.
The successful candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience within capital markets and possess deep knowledge of issues facing private market investors.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and motivated individual to take on a highly impactful role in helping to build a high-quality investor relations function in a growing and prestigious firm. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of investor communications, including investor meeting materials, email communications, investment summaries, quarterly investor reports, etc.
Support fundraising initiatives and co-investment processes
Coordinate regularly recurring investor events, such as site tours, investor meetings, etc.
Assist with the coordination of prompt responses to investor requests and questions
Manage the database of existing and prospective investors
Assist with the coordination of subscription agreements and other legal documentation
Complete special projects as neededQualifications Experience in raising equity capital for real estate private equity firms
Undergraduate degree preferably in commerce, finance or economics
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in capital markets or private equity, such as investment banking, equity capital markets or debt capital markets
Demonstrated financial literacy
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with strength in dealing with a wide variety of individuals at various levels within and outside of the organization
Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to assess complex situations and make effective recommendations
Excellent organizational skills and capability to effectively manage priorities while meeting timelines
Proactive self-starter who can handle pressure effectively and has experience working with senior management teams
