David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, a global consulting firm, to recruit for a Marketing Manager based in Calgary, AB, and ultimately Phoenix, AZ.

In this position, the Marketing Manager will have day-to-day responsibility to manage and execute all marketing programs for corporate initiatives, and cross-industry/cross-segment programs. Working with the Senior Management Team, this professional will develop and execute integrated marketing programs and sales support initiatives supporting key corporate priorities.

The designated professional must have experience with message development as well as functional expertise in content marketing/thought leadership, lead generation,

advertising/public relations, and direct sales programs. This professional will develop direct-to-customer marketing campaigns and will also collaborate with the segment marketing teams to drive corporate initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver digital marketing strategies that accelerate customer acquisition and customer value.

- Identify, target and add new clients through effective media campaigns.

- Leadership of the Marketing Team's efforts in the North American and Global Regions.

- Establish business plan goals and actions for expanding brand recognition and client contacts in the region.

- Demonstrate a high level of involvement and control over the marketing cycle including identifying potential clients, and development of the initial client contacts.

- Identify, develop, prepare and present high impact marketing campaigns.

- Reporting as required on business development/marketing activities including new clients and actions.

- Working with internal managers to learn our business to the level necessary to be able to explain the value proposition to our customers.

- Strong focus on customer acquisition, managing performance marketing channels and/or CMS (e.g., managing customer data, segmentation, and driving owned channels).

- Actively participate in Marketing and Networking events.

- Develop and mentor junior members of the team.

The Ideal Candidate:

- This position requires a passion for marketing and for consulting business. The incumbent must be a skilled marketing professional with global marketing exposure.

- 5-10 years of experience executing and/or leading at-scale performance marketing programs for a project management, management or strategy consulting business.

- Data-driven thinker.

- Comfortable working with virtual teams.

- Comfortable working with business, marketing and IT stakeholders.

- Ability to think quickly and critically on a broad range of digital marketing topics across various verticals.

- Ability to write high-quality PR articles.

- Welcomes a multicultural environment.

- Adobe InDesign is a plus.

- Strong experience in developing customer-facing sales materials to support B2B customer engagement and sales pipelines.

- Superior skills in developing messaging and integrated communications plan using a wide range of traditional, digital and social media channels.

- Strong experience in driving content development and digital engagement strategies.

- Strong ability to translate business objectives into sound communications strategies.

- Customer-centric, outside-in thinking.

- Ability to manage multifaceted projects; focus on delivering results.

- Strong collaborator, ability to work cross-functionally.

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or other quantitative disciplines.

- Fluent in using Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and charting.

- Critical thinking- capable of generating consistently accurate, useful reports.

- An enthusiasm for translating data into actionable insight relevant to marketing program objectives.

- Attention to detail and time management to deliver high-quality work for multiple projects across several clients while meeting deadlines.

- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time throughout North America.

- Willingness to relocate temporarily to Calgary, Alberta, Canada for a period of orientation/training with ultimate placement in Phoenix, Arizona.
