CSA Group has an immediate opening for an Engineering Manager (Internal Title: Product Group Manager) located in our Vancouver office. The incumbent will ensure the day-to-day delivery of high quality certification and testing services for the Healthcare (Biomedical and Lab, Test & Measurement) Product group, while ensuring the delivery of these services is consistent with, and in support of, corporate and divisional policies and objectives through continuous employee development and management. Principle Duties & Responsibilities: Lead a team of 10 - 20 employees in their certification and testing projects to ensure quality delivery services are met on time Focus on ensuring project costs are at or below estimated targets Maintain excellent customer relationships through appropriate communication channels, provide proactive solutions for customers and other key stakeholders Develop the business plan and operating budget for the assigned product group in conjunction with the Operations Manager Manage and resolves customer issues concerning certification and testing on a regular basis Provide technical assistance and resolve issues around scheduling and project completion Identify and resolves customer complaints and employee related performance issues Cultivates good CSA-customer and employee-manager working relationships to cultivate an environment focused on the Customer Loyalty Value Promote both technical and non-technical learning with a continuous focus on exceeding customer expectations Effectively delegate work and guide the completion of work across one or more diverse team members and/or clients Through regular dialogue and mentoring with employees assist in the growth of employees through training and career development activities Ensure the high quality and safe delivery of certification and testing services within the product group Support safety policies and procedures to cultivate a positive safety culture Education: Post-secondary diploma or equivalent in a technical field OACETT or Professional (Electrical) Engineer designation preferred Experience: 3-5 years of managerial/supervisory experience leading a team of technical experts in the biomedical engineering or healthcare area Minimum 5 years of certification or equivalent technical experience preferred Skills: Aptitude to assess and report on upcoming product trends within the assigned market group. Ability to lead a team of professional experts to deliver high quality and timely services Ability to provide coaching on metrics and career development Good analytical skills required to formulate financial and business plan forecasts Excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills required Ability to provide conflict resolution skills to deal with employee and customer issues Proficient in the Microsoft office suite. Experience with Salesforce is preferred
