Business Development Representative

DevStaff is a Recruitment Agency working with top global talent in IT, with locations in Kitchener and Toronto, ON. DevStaff has been a trusted resource in the technical field since 2001. We know that there’s no compromise in finding the right talent or the right job. DevStaff is currently hiring for a Regional Sales Coordinator in Toronto, ON, or Kitchener, ON. To be considered for this position, the successful candidate needs to have at least three years of Business Development experience, preferably in IT staffing.

The Account Executive is responsible for selling the IT professional services of DevStaff to potential prospects and customers. You will be responsible for developing new accounts through outside sales activities.

The compensation package includes base salary + commission structure, profit sharing, company stock, medical benefits, and tremendous room for growth within the organization.



- Initiate, qualify, and close new business through the act of cold calling, using a given phone directory

- Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate services.

- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service.

- Maintain frequent communication with accounts by building and maintaining relationships via telephone.

- Answer incoming calls from prospective customers

- Provide sales leads to Account Manager, and schedule appointments to close deals

- Use scripts to provide information about services, prices, etc. and present their benefits

- Ask pertinent questions to understand the customer’s requirements

- Persuade the customer to buy by demonstrating how our services meet their needs

- Record the customer’s personal information accurately in a computer system

- Deal with objections to safeguard the company’s reputation

- Go the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales

- Keep records of calls and sales and record useful information

- This is a remote position.



- Proven experience as sales coordinator/telemarketer

- Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quotas, preferably over the phone

- Working knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM software) and telephone systems

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Proficient in English

- Must be able to dial a minimum of 100 calls per day

- Skilled in negotiation and dealing with complaints

- Persistent and results-oriented

- Patient and able to handle customer rejection

- 3+ years’ experience in a sales role

- Demonstrated track record of success in sales that includes consistent growth of base and developing concrete strategies

- Excellent sales skills including the ability to create and build relationships, strong listening and presentation skills, good organization and time management skills

- Strong customer service skills
