Job Description:

Park Avenue is looking for waterproofing technicians to join our team. We are currently hiring for a variety of roles including entry-level positions and site supervisors with competitive wages for all levels of experience. The majority of work is done from height but can also include ground work.

Overview:

Park Avenue is a small but rapidly growing waterproofing company based out of Burnaby, BC. We offer a variety of services including repair to roofing, concrete, metal, wood, and sealant systems. We use multiple techniques to access hard to reach areas including but not limited to rope access, suspended stages, aerial lifts and ladders. Those with experience in the construction industry who are looking for a change and who want competitive pay without the hassles of working on a construction site should apply.

Responsibilities:

- Duties include waterproofing and restoration work including but not limited to: building envelope inspection, roof inspection, leak investigation, sealant repair, painting/membrane work, concrete repair, etc.
- Work safely and efficiently
- Communication: with co-workers/supervisor and customers
- Maintain personal and/or company tools / equipment
- Document work with written report and photographs
- Positive organization and time management
- Maintain certifications and participate in company meetings

Requirements:

- Prior work experience in waterproofing / restoration is a bonus but on the job training can be provided for the right candidate
- Work at height certifications an asset (eg.



SPRAT or IRATA, Fall Protection, Aerial Lift, Suspended Stages Training, etc). Additional wage can be offered for one or multiple certifications.
- Valuable communication
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Valid BC driver’s license (preferred)
- Construction industry experience, general labour experience, and / or job site supervisor experience an asset
- General contracting, painting, carpentry experience an asset
- Previous experience using tools (grinders, drills, pressure washers, etc)
