Job Description



Duties:

The tasks to be performed by the contractor are as follows:



• Recognize, isolate, research and solve problems (IT) and follow up;



• Provide first or second level technical support established by the department;



• Refer more complex issues to senior support staff to speed up resolution;



• Install, configure, update and maintain the Windows desktop environment.



• Install, maintain and troubleshoot peripheral equipment (printers, scanners, etc.)



• Install, maintain and troubleshoot software;



• Create problem logs and their resolution for troubleshooting activities.





Requirements:





M1





The Bidder must provide the full name of 14 different resources as per the following region specification:



- Alberta Region (Edmonton): One (1) resource

- Manitoba Region (Winnipeg): Two (2) resources

- National Capital Region (Ottawa): Five (5) resources

- Nova Scotia (Halifax): One (1) resource

- Ontario (Sioux Lookout): One (1) resource

- Ontario (Thunder Bay): Two (2) resources

- Ontario (Toronto): One (1) resource

- Québec (Montréal): One (1) resource

Each Bidder’s proposed resource under criterion M1 must meet the minimum mandatory qualifications for TBIPS I.9 System Administrator Level 1 (https://www.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/app-acq/sptb-tbps/gitiserv-imitserv-eng.html#i9)



M3



Each Bidder’s proposed resource under M1 must have at minimum a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in computer science from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution or any recognized equivalent (https://www.canada.ca/en/public-service-commission/jobs/services/gc-jobs/degree-equivalency.html)



For each proposed resource, the Bidder must provide a copy of the resource’s certificate, diploma or degree.



M4



Each Bidder’s proposed resource must have a minimum of 12 months’ relevant experience providing technical support in a Federal Government and/or Private Sector Information Technology environment including first (1st) and/or second (2nd) level technical support and creating problem and resolution logs/tickets for help desk activities.



For each proposed resource, the Bidder must provide at least the following for each tasks, projects or services which the experience meets the requirements of evaluation criterion M4:



1. A short description of the tasks or services provided to the client;



2. The period of time over which the tasks or services were provided, in the format: from (month/year) to (month/year);



3. The name of the client (company or governmental body) for which the work was done, as well as the name, and current email address and/or telephone number of the delegated representative who would be able to confirm the information provided by the bidder.



M5



Each Bidder’s proposed resource under M1 must have a minimum of 12 months’ experience in installing, configuring, updating and maintaining work desktop under a Windows environment.



For each proposed resource, the Bidder must provide at least the following for each tasks, projects or services which the experience meets the requirements of evaluation criterion M5:



1. A short description of the tasks or services provided to the client;



2. The period of time over which the tasks or services were provided, in the format: from (month/year) to (month/year);



3. The name of the client (company or governmental body) for which the work was done, as well as the name, and current email address and/or telephone number of the delegated representative who would be able to confirm the information provided by the bidder.



M6



Each Bidder’s proposed resource under M1 must have a minimum of 12 months’ experience in installing, maintaining and repairing peripheral equipment (printers, scanners, etc.) and installing, maintaining and troubleshooting software.



For each proposed resource, the Bidder must provide at least the following for each tasks, projects or services which the experience meets the requirements of evaluation criterion M6:



1. A short description of the tasks or services provided to the client;



2. The period of time over which the tasks or services were provided, in the format: from (month/year) to (month/year);



3. The name of the client (company or governmental body) for which the work was done, as well as the name, and current email address and/or telephone number of the delegated representative who would be able to confirm the information provided by the bidder.



M7



Each Bidder’s proposed resource under M1 must have a minimum of 12 months’ experience in providing problem recognition, isolation, research, resolution and follow-up and escalating more complex problems to senior support personnel to expedite resolution which request excellent communication skills both in writing and verbally.



For each proposed resource, the Bidder must provide at least the following for each tasks, projects or services which the experience meets the requirements of evaluation criterion M7:



1. A short description of the tasks or services provided to the client;



2. The period of time over which the tasks or services were provided, in the format: from (month/year) to (month/year);



3. The name of the client (company or governmental body) for which the work was done, as well as the name, and current email address and/or telephone number of the delegated representative who would be able to confirm the information provided by the bidder.
