Position Description





We are seeking a highly qualified candidate for a Clinical Research Project Coordinator (CRPC) position at the Centre for Global Child Health and Research Institute at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. The CRPC will become a core member of a research group that aims to contribute knowledge in the field of global child health, nutrition, and infectious diseases. The CRPC will work closely with the Principal Investigator and Senior Research Associate to coordinate a wide range of study-related activities including the development of protocols for research ethics board submission, preparing study materials (i.e., data collection forms, SOPs, informed consent documents, terms of reference, business development plan, etc.), presentations, research and financial progress reports, and coordinating inter-institutional collaboration. The CRPC will liaise with Grant Accountants at SickKids and international partner organizations to track study-related expenditures, analyze burn-rates, and prepare financial forecasts. As a member of the Centre for Global Child and the SickKids Research Institute, the successful applicant will have daily interactions with a dynamic community of researchers and trainees focused on global child health research, capacity-building, and advocacy projects.



Here's What You'll Get To Do:



- Prepare new research study protocols, research ethics board submissions, and other study materials (e.g., data collection forms, SOPs, informed consent documents).

- Conduct literature searches, as required to write study protocols and SOPs.

- Coordinate and attend team meetings and prepare a written summary of key discussion points and action items.

- Prepare training materials and conduct virtual training sessions in collaboration with in-country partner organizations.

- Develop deadlines for all deliverables across the project. Monitor deadlines and, as needed, send follow-up emails to assess and ensure all deadlines are met.

- Track project-related expenditures, analyze financial burn-rates, and prepare financial forecasts and reports.

- Procure trial-related supplies and manage their shipment to study-site(s) in Bangladesh



Here’s What You’ll Need:



- Graduate level degree in public health, global health, epidemiology, nutritional sciences, or related discipline

- Previous direct involvement in the coordination and/or implementation of a clinical research study (preferably evidenced by acknowledgement or co-authorship on published research articles)

- Experience writing research proposals, preparing presentations, and tracking timelines for research project deliverables.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Experience managing project budgets and preparing financial forecasts would be considered an asset.

- Demonstrated interest in and/or work experience related to global health research would be an asset.

- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently in a fast pace environment.

- Ability to pay close attention to detail while maintaining view of the larger scope.



Employment Type: Temporary, Full-time (one year contract)
