The Head of Product is responsible for defining the vision, strategy and roadmaps for the company’s products, anticipating changing market, client and organizational needs. In alignment with Cox Automotive’s International strategy, the Head of Product will lead efforts across the portfolio of products for the region to enable differentiated capabilities that position the business for future growth. The Head of Product is responsible for implementing a product management framework that enables the full product development lifecycle from idea inception to market launch.

This role requires close partnership with technology and engineering as well as strategy and other functions to achieve sustainable steps to effectively develop and deliver impactful products.

The Head of Product should have a proven ability to build and maintain trusted stakeholder relationships, liaise with and collaborate with cross-functional peers to prioritize and deliver quality solutions with measurable results. The role will work with both internal and external business constituents to determine the future direction of products in alignment with the technology strategy and capabilities offered.

Product Management and Development

- Define and execute on a product strategy that aligns with business priorities for generating revenue growth and the Group technology strategy.

- Establish target state, then deliver key product initiatives to move towards the target state.

- Leverage agile product development processes and engineering best practices to deliver key strategic product initiatives.

- Drive innovation across the product portfolio through iterative methodologies and a client-centered approach.

- Drive adoption of best practice approaches for product, delivery and technologies.

- Promote participation in innovation initiatives.

Product Team Leadership

- Lead product management team for the region, working closely with solution set leaders to provide new products, enhancements and capabilities with a customer-centric approach to provide what is required for business growth.

- Implement product management framework to guide product efforts in a consistent and sustainable manner.

- Research, monitor, and develop a “needs first” prioritization list on latest trends and technologies that may result in new automotive products.

- Identify, evaluate and test new technologies and partnership opportunities that align with product needs.

- Work across teams to map out a multi-quarter roadmap that will evolve business learnings, test product and technology models, accelerate time to deliver minimal viable products to market, improve team member and client experience, and drive operating efficiencies across the business.

- Establish approaches for staying up to date on competitive offerings in the marketplace, constantly refreshing skills, and communicating with team members to ensure market relevance and understanding of our position.

Employee Engagement

- Foster open communication with management, and clearly communicate importance of team’s vision, objectives and priorities.

- Seek and share information and use appropriate influence strategies to enhance and sustain employee engagement.

- Be an agent and advocate for change. Lead and develop a culture of continuous improvement across the business.


- Bachelor’s Degree: Business, Engineering, Marketing or related technical degree preferred; MBA is a plus

- Mix of technology (engineering, product management) and business (consulting, product marketing, sales, and channel) background is ideal

- Extensive proven experience in matrixed organization and the development and launch of products and services

- 5+ years of management/leadership experience with leading process improvement and advocating change

- Expert knowledge of product development life cycle (relevant experience in all phases)

- Extensive understanding of business and industry preferred

- Project leadership experience of large, complex, multi-discipline projects

- Excellent instincts, strong business acumen, team leadership skills and experience to bring together diverse views

- Proven ability to manage portfolio of products

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Ambitious and driven individual, who brings the capability & headroom to grow beyond this role.

- Effective communication both written and verbal across all levels of organization

- Travel Required (up to 25%)
