POSITION SUMMARY
This position requires an individual who is highly motivated with outstanding organizational and customer service skills. Maintain a secure parts inventory control system within a professional and clean counter sales and repair workplace. Maintain open communication between yourself and the Management Team to ensure the highest level of customer service.
OBJECTIVES
- Follow procedures to ensure overall tight Inventory Control at all times
- Be pro-active to develop new skills and to gain product knowledge regularly on the products we service and sell
- Build and maintain a loyal customer base by creating a professional and inviting retail environment
- Encourage and maintain a seasonally stocked, clean and well organized parts department and repair station
- Maintain open communication with Parts Department Supervisor, Retail Sales Manager and Retail Sales Team
ACCOUNTABILITIES Counter Sales and Service · Be proactive with customer service in order to eliminate unnecessary delays and or complaints
- Ensure Parts Department coverage at all times
- Fulfill customer orders and follow through order preparation for Parts Department Supervisor
- Check messages at Parts, constantly throughout the day; that all messages are forwarded to the appropriate sales representative or handled immediately
- Follow up with in-store and telephone customers to provide unrivaled customer care
- Perform billiard cue tip repairs and auto cleaner repairs
- Perform pool equipment sales – pumps, filters, chlorinators, skimmers and related parts and fittings
- Maintain a good supply of Equipment Hook-up, How-to Sheets and Department forms by printing (not photocopying) additional copies
Inventory Control
- Receive all incoming product into the parts area ensuring that it is coded, stored and stocked in an efficient manner
- Maintain daily and weekly counts of fast moving products to prevent backorders and stock shortages
- Assist Parts Department Supervisor with fulfilling all minimum order requirements and maintaining minimum order status of Parts Inventory
Department Maintenance
- Ensure that the retail floor of the parts and surrounding areas are well stocked with all saleable merchandise available from the warehouse; this includes fittings bins, and all wall and floor displays
- Maintain customer special order “Hold Area” to ensure that items are picked up by customers in a timely fashion or returned to stock as necessary
- Ensure that parts bins are located properly, labeled neatly and represent the product(s) by category, manufacturer, description and price – at all times
- Daily maintenance including dusting and vacuuming/sweeping of parts and repair area including the parts foyer and equipment displays
Team Support
- Perform company pick-ups in delivery vehicles as required
- Assist warehouse and service department team captains as required by replenishing truck stock and service product to be pulled for following day’s service
- Keep constant communications with Parts Department Supervisor and Retail Sales Manager with respect to day to day activities
- Understand and follow the company’s policies and procedures at all times; Increase productivity and minimize socializing
- All other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 year customer service experience
- Computer literate in inventory programs and Microsoft Office including Excel & Outlook
- Excellent written as well as verbal communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and understanding their requirements
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Clean current driver’s license

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
