6171 Temporary Custodian (Whistler)

The following temporary position is open for applications:

CUSTODIAN CUPE Competition No

Location: District - North Positions

Whistler Secondary School

Temporary: March 1 6 , to June 26, 2026, or return of Incumbent, whichever occurs first
Hours: hours per day, 1 2 months per year

Pay: $30.47 per hour

Duties & Responsibilities:

General cleaning of schools as assigned by the General Manager of Operations, which includes lifting of miscellaneous furniture, changing lights, operation of motorized cleaning equipment, knowledge of chemicals and application of floor coatings and attention to building security.

Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 10 plus relevant courses/workshops and up to and including three (3) months related experience or an equivalent combination of related training and experience. Relevant courses/workshops would be the Building Service Worker course.





Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) and Worksafe BC safety regulations.

Competition Closes Tuesday March 3, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
