Location: Ottawa, ON & Gatineau, QC

Reports To: Senior Leadership

Direct Reports: Warehouse Supervisors, Drivers, Operational Staff (as applicable)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $130,000 - $150,000

Language Requirement: Bilingual (English and French)

Position Summary

The Director of Operations is responsible for providing strategic and hands-on leadership across Morin Supply’s Ottawa and Gatineau locations. This role oversees all core operational functions, including warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, fleet oversight, and safety compliance.

The Director of Operations plays a critical role in ensuring operational consistency, efficiency, and high service standards across both provinces while supporting business objectives through solid people leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement.

At Morin Supply, we aim to be the easiest building supply company to deal with, and the Operations team is central to that mission.

- Establishes clear operational standards across all locations
- Builds capable operational leadership at the branch level
- Aligns operations with company strategy and customer promise
- Creates accountability through metrics and performance rhythm
- Drives continuous improvement and operational maturity
- Ensures operations scale with company growth
- Champions safety and operational discipline
- Enables cross-functional collaboration (Sales, Purchasing, Finance, HR)

Profile & Experience





- Proven experience in senior operations leadership within logistics, distribution, warehouse, or supply chain environments with proven ability to scale operations
- Experience managing multi-site operations, ideally across Ontario and Quebec
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, fleet management, and logistics coordination
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching and performance management
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and operational compliance
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French required
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into action
- Clear communicator with the ability to lead across functions and locations
- Hands-on leadership style with strategic thinking capability
- Strong judgment, accountability, and problem-solving skills
- Adaptable to changing priorities and unexpected challenges.

Working Conditions

- Regular travel between Ottawa and Gatineau locations
- Combination of office, warehouse, and yard environments
- Ability to respond to operational needs outside of standard business hours as required
