We are currently seeking a high-caliber Technical Specialist to join our team. Amongst other duties outlined below, you would assess technical capabilities of recent university graduates for FDM's unique Graduate Program including but not limited to the Junior IT Business Analyst, IT Project Manager, Application Support, Software Developer, Software Tester and Big Data Developer roles.
You will be working within a motivated and sociable team, and must be able to demonstrate good teamwork. Having impeccable interpersonal and communication skills,
you will also be self-motivated, organized, and target-driven.
The experience gained in this position helps to lay an essential foundation of understanding on FDM's business model, equipping you with a well-rounded perspective on the business. For those who demonstrate the interest and aptitude, FDM Technical Specialist may have the opportunity to progress into a consultant, technical trainer or service delivery manager role.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Conduct virtual technical interviews and assess applicants' technical capabilities in Excel, SQL, OOP (Java, C, C++ or C#), problem solving and other related skills.
Conduct mock technical interviews with FDM trainees.
Run technical workshops for development of internal staff, trainees and consultants.
Attend career fairs to promote the program.
Assist consultants with continuous development of their technical skills.
Keep yourself and internal teams up to date with the changes in the technology industry.
University/college degree or equivalent work experience in a related field (preferably in Mathematics, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or similar).
Technical proficiency in Excel, SQL, Unix and OOP (Java, C, C++ or C#).
2+ years of experience in the IT industry.
Outstanding communication skills and significant professional interaction experience.
Highly organized and efficient, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks, calendars, and processes simultaneously.
Ability to work under pressure.
Eligible to work in Canada.
Desirable Criteria (not essential):
Leadership and/or lecturing experience.
Knowledge of computer networking and information security.
Knowledge of Cucumber, Selenium or other software testing tools.
Knowledge of Hadoop, Pig, Spark or other Big Data tools.
Knowledge of DevOps tools.
Experience with cloud computing.
Experience with Pega and Salesforce.
Experience with Automation Anywhere.
Knowledge of Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project or Office 365.
