Company: Marsh Description: We are seeking a suitable individual to join our Central Zone Claims Team as a Senior Claims Advocacy professional. Reporting to the Central Zone Claims Leader, this client facing position requires an experienced claims professional with experience in client Claims Advocacy who is capable of managing claims of mid to high level complexity across various lines of coverage. The successful candidate is expected to provide coverage and claims strategy advice to clients on claims of varying levels of complexity in respect to any coverage issues that may arise.
This Claims Advocate is responsible for managing insurance recoveries for clients within defined operational parameters so as to ensure the most equitable return on the insurance investment while at the same time minimizing the impact of adverse events on the client's business.
This successful candidate will also be involved in developing and evaluating claims administration programs to best meet the client's specific risk management and operational needs. The Senior Claims Advocate will lead assigned client advocacy activities by: Identifies appropriate policies and/or coverage's and analyze the notice of loss details as against identified policies. Providing coverage and claims strategy guidance to clients on claims with coverage issues in order to assist with claims preparation Driving the claims process for clients through participation in claims strategy discussions in order to ensure progress from initial notification through to closure. Monitoring insurer responses to reported claims and engage with insurers and their professional advisers in order to support the expeditious and smooth resolution of claims.
Drafting communication to clients and/or insurers such as correspondence letters, claims calculations and reviews documents prepared by the clients in order to support the claims process of moderate complexity for clients. Analyses claims related data such as loss statistics, key trends, cost reduction opportunities and other data in order to facilitate development of action plans to manage client's total cost of risk. Interacts closely with individual CEs, Claims Advocacy colleagues and Claims Operations colleagues to provide feedback to the team in making the claims process smooth Education: University degree or minimum College level certification CIP, FCIP, CRM, CCIB, FRM all assets Characteristics: Motivated self-starter capable of working in a dynamic, fast paced team environment Excellent written and interpersonal skills Technically strong in all lines of Property & Casualty insurance Proficient in the Microsoft office & Excel Strategic business partner Experience: 5 - 7 years' experience in the claims space in some combination either at the adjustor, carrier or brokerage level In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, Marsh will provide a reasonable accommodation to employees and prospective employees to the point of undue hardship upon request and as required in respect of the individual's particular restrictions and limitations.
