Through National Diabetes Trust, the operations arm of Diabetes Canada, we are helping to preserve our environment by diverting more than 46 million kilograms of clothing and household items from Canadian landfills annually. Our Driver/Labourers are the front line to our success and our customers’ experience. As a member of our team, you'll serve as an ambassador of our brand and help us keep our commitment to fight against diabetes.
The primary focus of this position will be to service our valued customers through the door-to-door and donation box collection of used clothing and household items. If providing exceptional customer service is at your core, and you are proud of your ability to build and strengthen relationships, you are ready to take on a new challenge and been known to take initiative then apply today with your cover letter, resume and current driver’s abstract.
Job Duties• Complete all pickups; includes drop bins, household and other special picks ups • Conduct daily unloads at Our corporate partners; fill and empty trucks into/ out of storage facilities as needed • Meet daily pick up and drop off quotas • Drive in a safe and defensive manner at all times, avoid careless errors at all costs • Produce and maintain excellent and accurate records as required. • Portray a positive and professional image to the public, co-workers and our corporate partners • Care for the truck as required by standard operating procedures • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel objects, tools, or controls; and stoop, crawl, kneel, or crouch; occasionally required to climb steps and balance Requirements• Physically able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis • Full driver’s license • Possess a clean driver abstract • Must be able to pass background check • Available on weekdays and weekends • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
