About s: TIPS (Truck It Personnel Services) is working with a leader in waste management and diversion, providing governments and industries with a wide range of services in the province of Ontario, Nova Scotia, Current Brunswick, and Manitoba, has over 50 years’ experience in the waste management sector, and currently operates out of more than 30 locations. Responsibilities: In the position DZ Driver/Loader your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Be responsible for various waste stream Residential Collections. This may include Yard Waste Collection, Blue Box and/or Green Bin Collection and Residential Garbage Collection. *Provide customers with reliable and high-quality customer service as the proper disposal of the waste streams are vital to the health and well-being of east he residents of the community that you are servicing. *Adhere to the collection and delivery schedule to ensure all collected various waste streams are to be delivered to local Transfer Stations, Compost Facilities or Landfill Sites in an efficient and appropriate manner. *Follow all relevant policies and procedures of the Company, the MTO,
Ministry of Environment as well as the by-laws of the Municipality in which you are working. Failure to adhere to safety policies and procedures may lead to property damage, injury, or loss of life. *Work with employees, management, resident and members of the public in a polite and respectful manner at all times. *All waste receptacles that are emptied into the collection vehicle must be placed back on the resident’s property, flipped upside down at the curb, in the same place that they were removed from. *Lift and load garbage bags or cans weighing up to 50 lbs. from the ground into the hopper of a 2-person truck or into a side loader of a 1-person truck. *Make in excess of 800-900 residential stops per day. Competencies & Qualifications: *Must adhere to all safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act. *Must have a valid ‘DZ’ Driver's Licence, clean Driver's Abstract and CVOR. *Must be able to lift 50lbs. *Must be a team player, and with safe working habits. *Flexibility with your work schedule, as end times may vary. Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am start Pay Rate: $27.80/hr.
