LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location

The successful candidate will be required to work 2x/week on-site at the customer headquarters in Ottawa, ON.

Key Tasks

- Own the full project lifecycle initiative, including project charter, integrated schedule, budget tracking, and risk/issue management
- Deliver critical milestones: Participant Impact Assessment by June and comprehensive implementation plan (requirements, design, impact, budget, timeline, roadmap) by December
- Develop and maintain forward-looking work plans, including 2027–2028 roadmap and build/test phases through 2028–2029
- Manage stakeholders across all levels—from analysts to directors to executives—ensuring alignment, transparency, and timely escalation
- Facilitate weekly status meetings, working sessions, and steering committee presentations
- Translate complex technical and policy details into clear, executive-ready communications and decision papers

Key Qualifications

- 10+ years managing complex, policy-driven, multidisciplinary initiatives in regulated environments (financial services, government, or similar high-stakes sectors).
- Demonstrated success delivering projects with - Multiple interdependent workstreams, executive and external regulator oversight, competing priorities and tight, non-negotiable deadlines.
- Exceptional Stakeholder & Communication Skills - masterful at managing diverse, senior-level stakeholders with competing interests.
- A self-starter who runs with things—requires minimal oversight while maintaining rigorous standards.

Qualifications

- 10+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years managing enterprise-scale initiatives
- Deep expertise in core PM disciplines: project charters, integrated schedules, budget management, RAID logs, status reporting, and dependency tracking
- Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; ability to produce executive-quality deliverables




- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams across business, legal, policy, and technology domains
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience translating technical content for non-technical audiences

Assets

- Experience with large-scale financial infrastructure initiatives
- Experience supporting industry-wide change initiatives or multi-year transformation programs
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects with multi-year timelines and phased delivery (requirements → design → build → test)

Compensation

Salary Range $138,000-$150,000
