We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team and support day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced but supportive environment.

The Role

As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a critical role in keeping our operations running smoothly. This position goes beyond data entry—you’ll work with real transaction volume tied to physical operations and long-term customer relationships.

You’ll collaborate closely with operations, billing, dispatch, and management, and your work will directly support decision-making across the company.

Key Responsibilities

- Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Invoice entry, verification, and reconciliation
- Assist with account reconciliations and posting journal entries; investigate and resolve routine reconciliation issues
- Preparing customer statements and assisting with collections follow-ups
- Help with month-end and year-end processes, including preparing journal entries and compiling supporting documents
- Bank, credit card,



and general ledger reconciliations
- Supporting month-end close activities
- Maintaining organized and accurate accounting records
- Assisting with audits, reporting, and ad-hoc accounting tasks as required

What We’re Looking For

- 3–5 years of experience in an accounting clerk or similar role
- Strong working knowledge of accounting fundamentals
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Excel (filters, basic formulas, reconciliations)
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems (industry experience an asset)
- Robust organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team
- Professional, reliable, and discreet with confidential information

Nice to Have (but not required)

- Experience in fuel, transportation, logistics, or distribution industries
- Exposure to high-volume transactional environments
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business
