The Opportunity
Leavitt Industrial Group is looking for a hands-on Digital Communications Specialist to join our team in Langley, BC. As the Digital Communications Specialist, you will play a central role in shaping how the company tells its story through clear, compelling, and visually engaging communications. This role utilizes strategic storytelling, advanced digital design, and technical execution to translate complex business initiatives into high-quality, multi-channel content that resonates with stakeholder groups.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Digital Communications Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Create compelling, visually appealing internal communications that translate organizational priorities, change initiatives, and strategic messages into clear, engaging content for employees
- Design high-quality content across multiple digital channels, including newsletters, videos, blogs, executive presentations, leadership communications, and campaign updates
- Use tools such as AI, PowerPoint, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite to create visually engaging assets
- Manage and maintain the employee communication platform using SharePoint, Viva Connections, and Viva Engage
- Support change management and engagement initiatives by strategically tailoring messaging to targeted audiences and channels
- Produce, edit, and optimize short-form videos to support leadership messaging and engagement initiatives for internal and external audiences
- Develop, maintain, and evolve templates, asset libraries, and communications style guides to ensure high quality content across the organization
- Monitor and analyze platform engagement and campaign performance; make data-informed recommendations to improve communication effectiveness and reach
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal departments by providing guidance, editing support, and best practices for digital storytelling and content publishing
- Act as a steward of the company’s internal brand voice and tone, ensuring brand consistency across all communications
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field, such as Communications, Journalism or English
- 5 years of progressive communications work experience
- Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)??
- Advanced design expertise, including AI, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Loom,
and video editing
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to draft clear, compelling messaging adapted to different audiences
- Experience working with SharePoint and Microsoft Viva Suite is an asset
- Excellent professional communication skills, including the ability to work with internal stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability???
- Ability to thrive in a agile work environment??and to work independently with minimal supervision

The base pay range for this role is: $70,000 to $80,000 annually, depending on experience.
This is a hybrid role based in Langley, British Columbia.
