Job Description – SQE Integration / Automation Test Engineer

Role: SQE Integration
Work Model: Hybrid
Experience Required: 6–8 Years

Role Overview

The Automation Test Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for backend services, APIs, and integrated systems. This role requires robust expertise in automation frameworks, CI/CD execution, and modern QA practices to ensure high-quality software delivery through automation, integration testing, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Automation & Test Development

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing

- Build and execute automated test scripts for backend services and REST/SOAP APIs

- Create reusable, scalable test components to support continuous testing across environments

- Maintain and enhance test suites for stability, accuracy, and long-term maintainability

2. Integration & Services Testing

- Perform end-to-end integration testing across multiple systems, services, and data pipelines

- Validate data flows, message formats, transformations, and error handling

- Test orchestration workflows, asynchronous messaging, and service-level dependencies

- Ensure integration reliability, SLA adherence, and system performance

3. Quality Assurance & CI/CD

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)

- Execute automated and manual test cycles,



analyze results, and identify root causes of defects

- Collaborate with developers to resolve automation, integration, and system-level issues

- Provide stakeholders with test metrics, defect reports, and quality assessments

4. Environments, Tools & Documentation

- Prepare test data and manage test environments for each test cycle

- Document test strategies, test cases, automation standards, and execution summaries

- Continuously improve automation coverage, efficiency, and test stability

Essential Skills

- Hands-on experience with:

- Bruno and Selenium for test automation

- VS Code for development

- Jenkins for CI/CD integration

- JIRA, Confluence, and Xray for test management

- Git for version control

- Basic understanding of SQL and ability to write simple queries

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred / Desirable Skills

- Experience working in Agile development environments

- Knowledge of additional automation frameworks or testing tools

- Understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and best practices

- Familiarity with continuous delivery, artifact repositories, and deployment strategies

Experience Required

- 6–8 years of experience in automation testing, integration testing, or QA engineering

- Strong Core Java skills
