Our Mars Canada, Pet Nutrition team, is looking for a talented Demand Planning Manager. As a demand planning manager, the candidate will be responsible for driving forecast accuracy, timely input of forecast, and will serve as the gatekeeper of the Pet Nutrition demand plan.

The candidate will also serve as the execution lead in driving process excellence to ensure quality consensus and DMR meetings. This role requires a strong communicator, collaborator, and a data-savvy individual as it requires soliciting of a variety of inputs which would affect the quality of demand plan passed through the S&OP;+ process each cycle.

The ideal candidate will have exposure to demand planning with experience in running effective demand review meetings with sales and presenting that demand plan to executive leadership.

What are we looking for?

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Marketing; or relevant experience.

- 2 to 3 years of experience in demand planning in the CPG space. CPFR or supply planning experience would be a plus.

- Understands demand dynamics of the CPG retail environment in Canada.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- A motivated self-starter.

- Ability to display leadership with the sales function.

- Robust collaboration with supporting functions – Sales, supply, finance, marketing, and the US planning team.





- Data-driven decision maker, with a passion for insights to drive action.

- Solid experience on working with forecasting systems such as OMP, Kinaxis, JDA or a similar system.

- Continuous improvement focused individual who leads with agility.

- Advanced user of MS office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).

What will be your key responsibilities?

- Fine-tune and drive continuous improvement in process flow from consensus to DMR.

- Adherence to availability of Y+1 forecast per the determined Planning calendar milestones.

- Serve as the demand planner for key brands

- Serve as the lead for the DMR step in the S&OP; process, effectively explaining the demand plan using POS and market data as benchmark.

- Drive effective trouble shooting of demand planning system (OMP) related issues with key stakeholders to ensure the forecast flow in system matches with intention.
