Estimator - Cost Planning Specialist

This role involves providing critical support to the preparation of cost estimates, proposals, and tender submissions for shipyard projects.

You will work closely with the estimating team, project managers, and engineers to develop cost breakdowns, compile data, and ensure timely and accurate bid submissions.

Maintaining and updating the tender log and archiving past submissions for reference and benchmarking are key responsibilities.

Collecting and verifying information from suppliers and subtrades in collaboration with procurement is also crucial. This includes staying informed on RFP/RFQ requirements, industry practices, and client needs to improve submission quality.

To succeed in this role, you will need a degree or diploma in engineering, business, or a related field, and at least 2 years of estimation experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience in RFP submission are essential. Ship repair, construction, or related technical estimation experience would be considered an asset.
