Position Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor of Facility Operations – Arenas, the Facility Attendant II - Arenas, is responsible for assisting with facility operations maintenance related to arenas. The position works a maximum of 24 hours per week with a flexible schedule that will include evenings and weekends

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Performs general cleaning/maintenance (i.e. moping, sweeping, vacuuming, window cleaning, washroom/dressing room cleaning, snow shoveling, garbage pick-up.
- Moves nets and shovels snow during ice resurfacing.
- Aid in the distribution of dressing room keys.
- Performs set up and take down of tables and chairs for events, meeting rooms, banquet halls, etc.
- Responds to requests from patrons (general public) and other City of Richmond Hill staff on general facility issues and/or maintenance requests.
- Ensures that all policies and procedures are being followed by patrons.
- Any other duty as assigned.

Education and Experience

- Minimum age 16

- Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to interact with a variety of user groups, general public and program participants
- General maintenance skills are essential
- Demonstrates good judgment and makes sound decisions
