Job Description
The Sales Lead Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for engaging with prospects and customers across the Canada region to generate new and expand existing sales opportunities. The SDR will qualify inbound marketing leads and provide lead generation through outbound calls. In this role, the SDR will work closely with their regional instrument sales team to connect customers with their sales representative to facilitate sales process. Additionally, you’ll promote chromatography consumables and workflows to be sold alongside instrumentation. The SDR will maintain and be expected to consistently meet monthly and quarterly regional revenue targets and lead conversion goals.



RESPONSIBILITIES

- Sell chromatography columns and consumables to end-user customers in assigned territory through outbound and inbound telephone sales.
- Be the front line for all incoming Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry leads within a specified regional geography.
- Uncover needs through discovery and determine the best solutions for each account based on a customer needs analysis.
- Generate incremental opportunities from leads to drive incremental business growth.
- Convert qualified leads to opportunities with a high degree of opportunity “closed-won” success.
- Provide product information and recommendations to end users.
- Process quote requests and support inquiries to augment selling efforts.
- Utilize internal and external data resources to conduct tactical research on organizations and contacts to help drive quantity of new contacts and subsequent sales opportunities.
- Manage lead pipelines with persistent focus to obtain, drive, and win business within the specified geography.
- Manage lead pipelines in accordance with established practices and response times.
- Meet regional and organizational goals with exceptional time management skills.
- Utilize SFDC to accurately and effectively track activity and update lead, account, and opportunity information, as appropriate.
- Promote exceptional team-work to achieve regional growth and bookings targets.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the organization's products and services, and build interest by understanding the needs of the customer and offering appropriate solutions.


How will you get here?
Education:

- Bachelor’s Degree (chemistry or biology preferred) or equivalent relevant experience required


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

- A sales professional with a full understanding of area of specialization. Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales or similar role is preferred, with proven track record of success.
- Familiarity with the sales process and proven success in a sales environment including lead follow-through, prospecting, quoting, closing, and excellent customer support.
- 3-5 years of laboratory experience (HPLC, GC, LC-MS) with working knowledge of general laboratory practices including analytical workflows, sample preparation, hardware operation, hardware maintenance, data analysis, and reporting.
- Bilingual French/English is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with a broad spectrum of the key markets we serve and the capacity to absorb complex information and apply it quickly and accurately.
- Goal and results oriented, coachable with a willingness to learn and take direction.
- Experience and ability to build and maintain cross-departmental, multi-functional and collaborative relationships.
- Knowledge and experience with business software applications including MS Outlook Suite (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel,) and virtual communication tools required.
- Experience with SFDC; or an equivalent CRM solution.
- This role will require up to 20% travel

• Gérez les pipelines principaux avec un objectif persistant pour obtenir, diriger et gagner des marchés dans la zone géographique spécifiée.
• Gérer les pipelines principaux conformément aux pratiques établies et aux temps de réponse.
• Atteindre les objectifs régionaux et organisationnels avec des compétences exceptionnelles en matière de gestion du temps.
• Promouvoir un travail d'équipe exceptionnel pour atteindre les objectifs de croissance et de réservations de la région.
• Maintenir une solide connaissance des produits et services de l'organisation et susciter l'intérêt en comprenant les besoins du client et en proposant des solutions appropriées.

FORMATION :

Baccalauréat (chimie ou biologie, de préférence) ou expérience pertinente équivalente requise

COMPETENCES :
• Un professionnel de la vente ayant une parfaite compréhension du domaine de spécialisation. Un minimum de deux années d'expérience dans un poste dans la vente ou un poste similaire est préférable, avec des antécédents de réussite avérés.
• Familiarité avec le processus de vente et succès avéré dans un environnement de vente comprenant le suivi des clients potentiels, la prospection, les devis, la clôture et un excellent support client.
• 3-5 ans d’expérience de laboratoire (HPLC, GC, LC-MS) et connaissance pratique des pratiques de laboratoire générales, notamment des flux de travail analytiques, de la préparation des échantillons, du fonctionnement du matériel, de la maintenance du matériel, de l’analyse de données et de la production de rapports.
• Le français / anglais bilingue est fortement préféré.
• Expérience et capacité à établir et à entretenir des relations interdépartementales, multifonctionnelles et collaboratives.
• Connaissance et expérience des applications logicielles d'entreprise, y compris la suite MS Outlook (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) et des outils de communication virtuels requis.
• Expérience avec SFDC; ou une solution CRM équivalente.
• Ce rôle nécessitera jusqu'à 20% de déplacement
