Pay Range

Base pay: CA$50,000–CA$60,000 per annum. Eligibility for merit pay and comprehensive healthcare benefits including the Healthcare Ontario Pension Plan.

Role Overview

The Communications Coordinator is an integral member of the Marketing & Communications team, supporting the creation and execution of written content across a wide range of platforms and initiatives. The role plays a key part in helping tell the Foundation’s story, enhance donor and community engagement, and strengthen WCHF’s overall brand and voice.

Core Deliverables

- Support the development of WCHF materials, including donor proposals, support and impact reports, event communications, donor public campaign materials, CEO communications, and organizational documents.
- Project‑manage marketing and communications materials from beginning to end; accountable for final outputs.
- Coordinate team projects, including timelines, assets, stakeholder reviews and project management software administration.
- Act as a resource to colleagues across the organization.




- Collaborate with colleagues across WCHF and WCH, including medical and healthcare practitioners and patients, to identify and tell meaningful stories that inspire philanthropy.
- Assist with content planning and coordination to maintain clarity on timelines, deliverables and next steps.
- Support the development and maintenance of templates, style guides and processes that ensure best‑in‑class, consistent and effective donor and public communications.

Qualifications and Skills

- Post‑secondary education in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, Public Relations or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in communications, preferably within a non‑profit, healthcare or fundraising environment.
- Strong writing,



editing and proofreading skills with an ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience creating content for digital platforms (email, website, social) is required; familiarity with donor communications or storytelling within a philanthropic context is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with design or email tools (e.g., Canva, Mailchimp or similar) is an advantage.
