As part of our Customer and Process Excellence (CAPE) Team, you will be working on a portfolio of exciting initiatives! The Senior Business Analyst thrives as part of an agile/scrum software development team which collaborates on, designs and documents successful solutions for applications that support organizational goals and user needs.

As a seasoned Business Analyst, no challenge is too tough for you to tackle! In this role, you will be working creatively and strategically, as part of an instrumental team, to provide truly transformational change, in big and small ways, to our organization, its partners, and across all our technology platforms!

What you will deliver on:
Your years of work in Business Analysis allows you to proficiently, and at any point in time, put on your user hat, business leader hat or even your developer hat synthesizing information and gathering requirements. This team routinely works within rapid learning cycles therefore your ability to flex, adapt and pick things up quickly will be essential in ensuring success in this role.

Collaborate and lead requirement sessions with product owners and business SME’s to collect business requirements and effectively convert them into technical requirements for web application improvements and initiatives
Work in partnership with cross-functional teams including the development team to establish defensible plans and timelines for user stories
Hit the ground running, learn the ins and outs of our business and passionately deliver workable solutions
Assess process efficiency improvements amplified with verifiable technology solutions when required
Spearhead the analysis, design and documentation of system and business requirements enhancements and initiatives to varying applications through ensuring clarity and feasibility of user stories
Define feature and functional requirements, producing product requirements, business rules, and user stories for development teams
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, recognize and reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
Assist in the creation of test plans and estimates inclusive of evaluating and providing analysis on requirements documentation and identifying key areas of testing
Assist and support the creation and delivery of training materials for business users on technological capabilities and process changes
Perform impact analysis on change requirements and make recommendations as necessary
Update requirements documentation and other artifacts to reflect changes
Perform quality reviews, including reviewing requirements documentation and business process model/flows
Model existing business processes and re-engineer to meet future state needs

Here’s what we’re looking for:
Minimum 7+ years of direct work experience as a Business Analyst with the ability to hit the ground running
Degree in business, finance or computer science, or equivalent education/professional experience
Demonstrated experience analyzing business and technical requirements with the ability to promote and lead organizational change
Expertise in designing, developing, and implementing re-engineered business processes and associated software and hardware
Demonstrated experience working on UI/UX applications is considered an asset
Direct knowledge of database management, various data retrieval methodologies (including data importing to spreadsheets, graphs, etc.) and data modeling
Capability to work independently and to act as proxy as necessary for internal business stakeholders
Excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to influence and negotiate
Ability to adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations, individuals or groups
Proficiency with MS Office suite of products, including Visio, Word, Excel
IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) certification is preferred
Experience working with SQL Editor and JIRA
Previous experience, preferably in the financial services industry is an asset
